Who We Are - The People Behind GRT

Get Results Tutoring was founded in 2013, with a passion for helping students build confidence, strengthen their academic skills, and reach their full potential. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where every student can grow, succeed, and develop a lifelong love of learning. 

Mindy Cocolin

Founder & Director

Mindy is native to State College. She graduated from State College Area High School in 1975, and she graduated from Penn State University in 1979 with her Bachelor's in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. In 1984, Mindy earned her Master of Education in Curriculum Design and Instruction from Penn State. She also has her principal certification and a K 12 reading specialist certificate.

Mindy taught in Juniata county, Waynesboro and State College Area school districts for 35 years before she retired from teaching and launched Get Results Tutoring in State College. 

Emily Hartzell

Codirector & Tutor

Emily graduated from Penn State University in 2025 with a bachelor's degree in Middle Level Education (4-8) with a specialization in Mathematics. She holds a teaching certificate for grades 4-8. 

She has experience teaching elementary and middle school students through her work in SCASD. She currently tutors elementary and middle school students for math and reading, serves as point of contact for scheduling and onboarding, manages our website, and more!

Ken Cocolin

Business Manager

Ken is Mindy's husband. He runs the legal end of the business. manages payment, and a host of other things.
